Although my parents and I don't really have differing views, my grandparents and I do. My grandparents are very traditional, where you could say that I have a more "modern" viewpoint. For example, we differ quite a lot politically, but it is not too the point where we cannot have civil conversations, we both respect each other and each other's viewpoint. But as I grew up and formed my own opinion on things, it was difficult for me because I had always believed in their opinions because it was all I knew. But once I was able to find information on my own and create my own opinion it was very eye-opening. I think it is very important for every young person to step outside of their family's viewpoint and make a decision for themselves and educate themselves. My grandparents know my opinions and even though we disagree a lot on things we still have mutual respect between each other but I have just become more independent when it comes to my opinions and my ideals.
