Assignment 6

 My favorite subject and the subject that is going to hopefully eventually become my career is psychology. I love psychology and understanding the brain and how it creates emotions, keeps us alive, and just goes about its every day. In my book "How emotions are made" it spoke about something interesting that I never thought of. We never take our brains perspective of life. Our brain is trapped in a dark little space surrounded by bine no access to the outside world other than through the senses that are connected to it. I just thought this was super interesting. The book also talks about how our brain is predicting the entire world around us to keep us alive. If the brain was a reactionary organ only activating parts of the brain when triggered we would all be dead as we wouldn't have enough time for the brain to process the stimuli, send out signals to the body, and complete the action. So to adapt, the brain became pre dictionary and now at any given moment predicts the odds of something happening and how to act based off of past experiences that it has to cross reference. All of this is new and super interesting to me and I wish I could better explain it over typing but that is difficult for me. Psychology will always be super interesting for me and learning new things about the brain and how it works.
