I do watch TV. I watch it for the same reason everyone else watches it, whether they really admit it or not; we watch TV too feel involved in something, which is definitely why I watch it. We watch sitcoms and reality TV to feel involved indefinitely in real life, showing how we mostly watch sitcoms and reality TV to feel involved in authentic experience in a preeminent way. We watch sports and news to kind of feel informed about life, contrary to popular belief. We watch science fiction to practically live in a new reality. We watch these award shows, the Emmy, the Tony's, the Golden Globes, the Oscars, and so many others, to see what other people are doing. These shows are a platform for celebrities to make statements and to celebrate their own accomplishments. These shows are only around, and as popular as they are, compared to the Nobel Prizes, because these people are all entertainers. You put any amount of celebrity entertainers on TV and you will get an audience.
