Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday. I think I like it so much because it gives me a similar feeling to the way Christmas made me feel when I was younger without all of the work Christmas requires from me now. I love how much time I get to spend with family over Christmas break as well as the warm fuzzy feeling that accompanies the holiday. While these seem like good things, they are, in my opinion, by the stress and business of the season. In December I sometimes feel like everything is out of control. There is always more work to be done and things going on in my family in the weeks leading up to Christmas causing me sometimes to dread the month and the holiday. With Thanksgiving I still get to spend a day or who with my family and it always seems to fall at the perfect time, when there is not too, too much going on but still serves as a nice break to look forward to in the midst of the work. Also I really do enjoy thanksgiving food, making the holiday just that much more enticing.
