Assignment 14 - Grace Barnett

I don't know if I necessarily have a specific year that comes to mind when I think about Thanksgiving,  the mental image that comes to mind for me is just hanging out with my family and just sharing stories. I love Thanksgiving because there isn't a lot of pressure on the holiday like there is on Christmas with gifts and decorations, the only pressure on Thanksgiving is cooking food. When I try to reflect on previous Thanksgivings, I think about specific moments like one time my grandmother was telling us this story about how she hit her foot when she was walking and she said "I stumped my toe..."(she meant stubbed) and my dad replied, "Did you ask it a hard question?" I thought that was so funny at the time and I still laugh when I think about it. It is little conversations and laughs like that that I remember and I always look forward to the holiday because it is a time for us to get together and just tell jokes which makes me happy.
