I know that I've already talked about film a few times in the blogs but it is definitely something that peaks my “geek-meter”. When it comes to time, I will sit down for hours and edit a video or shoot one without even thinking about it. Saying that I lose track of time is an understatement, because I have sat down and edited a video for an entire day before and it felt like an hour. Why this captivates me the way it does, I'm not sure. However, I can say that I'm interested in the overall culture surrounding film and how we use it in our everyday's lives as references, entertainment, and how it can bring to light otherwise obscure parts of society. When I try to learn more about film I usually use the internet, watch youtube videos, or even just analyze films as I watch them. However, I have also in the past been able to turn to my sister because she went to college for audio engineering and got good at film along the way.
