One thing that king of confuses and frustrates me is how expensive college and other higher education is. In my opinion college should be easily accessible to everyone who wants a higher education. To me colleges high cost unnecessarily feeds into the the United States cyclical poverty. Most higher paying jobs in the United States require a college education. Families suffering from extreme poverty can often not afford to send their children to college, preventing them from easily getting a higher paying job, and possibly preventing their children from going to college. It goes on and on. While I understand that in our education system today, there kind of needs to be a cost for college, I believe it could easily be lowered. Many institutions provide lost of extras for their students, making their environment quite luxurious. While this can be nice, it most definitely is not necessary. When high costs are preventing people form affording an education, I think cutting out most of these luxuries is just one way we can make college more accessible for all.
