My parents had a lenient method of raising me in that they didn't force any beliefs onto me or my sister. They did of course raise us to be good citizens and all around people however, they didn't make us go to church, take on a certain religion, or lead a certain lifestyle or passion. I think this is good because we found passions and now hold beliefs that we care about in a more deep and unbiased way and I think that leads to us being happier in life. Now I do disagree with some beliefs like if someone is being biased against someone for selfish reasons or biased against a religion. For example, i will challenge a political belief but I may not rub it in someone's face or get riled up about it because it rarely helps. The only time i will really outright oppose an idea or belief would have to be if someone is unjustly forcing that belief upon others or myself because at this point i feel it is important to step in because if nothing is done, nothing will be done.
