I started reading more over quarantine, especially the first two months, where I was absolutely bored out of my mind. I began rereading the Rick Riordan series, the Percy Jackson series. The first time I read it, I was fairly young, around 5/6th grade when I read the series so there was a lot of it I didn't understand. I read it at a more surface level not understanding a lot of the jokes and underlying themes and ideas, I just understood the overall plot and not the little details in the plot. Reading it again gave me a whole new perspective on the book, it was also interesting as I hadn't read it in so long I almost forgot the entire plot, so it was kind of like reading a totally new book. I also reread some of the Calvin and Hobbes comics that I had laying around the house. This was also very interesting as even though I already read them, it’s been so long I almost forgot what they were about. It’s also interesting because there were some more adult themes and understandings that I did not grasp on to when I was younger, but it’s interesting that I do now. My mom didn’t let me leave the house to get more things like from the library so I mostly read what I already had lying around the house.
